World AIDS Day

It’s more than a ribbon

World AIDS Day is held every year on 1 December, and is a time to remember those we have lost to HIV. The red ribbon is the international symbol for HIV awareness and support for people living with HIV. But for our community, it’s more than a ribbon.

It’s remembering everyone lost to HIV.

It’s a promise to support people living with HIV.

It’s a pledge to end new cases of HIV by 2030.

It’s a stand against HIV stigma.

This World AIDS Day, as we remember those we’ve lost to HIV, join with our community to promise, pledge and take a stand against stigma for people living with HIV – because it’s more than a ribbon.

Donate now

With your support, we can continue to change the lives of people living with HIV.

£15 could help answer one call to THT Direct, a lifeline that helps nearly 20,000 vulnerable people each year.

£50 could help provide a vital grant for people living with HIV struggling to afford basic necessities.

£100 could help fund our Living Well services to ensure people living with HIV receive the support they need.

Join us in supporting people living with HIV this World AIDS Day.

Speak to someone

We’re open:

10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
Our phone number is 0808 802 1221.

This is free to call from all UK landlines and most major mobile networks. It won’t appear on your telephone bill.

Live chat

We’re trialling a new live chat service to offer you support without the need to make a phone call.

The chat is open Monday to Friday at the following times:

  • 11am to 1pm
  • 3pm to 5pm

Live chat is anonymous and confidential. We’re offering it alongside our phone helpline, initially at the times given above.

At the end of your chat session, you’ll be directed to an online survey about your experience. Please take a few minutes to fill this in as it helps us to understand how live chat is working. We’ll use this feedback to develop the service further.
