Opportunities to contribute to new HIV awareness training in Wales

In partnership with Social Care Wales, Terrence Higgins Trust Cymru are developing a bi-lingual resource of our ‘Can’t Pass It On’ training for social care professionals.

Our existing training course for the social care sector aims to increase awareness and understanding of HIV, how it is passed on and the Can’t Pass It On/Undetectable = Untransmittable message.

Not only will this resource soon be available in Welsh, we are also developing a new section that highlights the experience of people living with HIV in Wales and their needs when accessing social care.

We are looking for participants to contribute to the development of this new training resource, with opportunities to share your experiences of accessing social care in Wales.

If you would like to receive more information about this project and how you can take part, please contact our Online Peer Support Coordinator before the deadline of Monday 19th May 2025 at: [email protected]

We’re open:

Our phone number is 0808 802 1221.

This is free to call from all UK landlines and most major mobile networks. It won’t appear on your telephone bill.

Live chat

We’re trialling a new live chat service to offer you support without the need to make a phone call.

The chat is open Monday to Friday at the following times:

  • 11am to 1pm
  • 3pm to 5pm

Live chat is anonymous and confidential. We’re offering it alongside our phone helpline, initially at the times given above.

At the end of your chat session, you’ll be directed to an online survey about your experience. Please take a few minutes to fill this in as it helps us to understand how live chat is working. We’ll use this feedback to develop the service further.
